IDC Basic Pistol Course: Phase One IL CCW
Illinois law as written states that this course will fulfill the first 8 hours of your Illinois Conceal Carry Permit training requirement. This course is designed to teach you safe ownership, storage, cleaning, and principles of marksmanship. This course also teaches the importance of developing your shooting skills with a defensive mindset and public awareness to better prepare you for concealed carry. If you are an Illinois resident and do not have a valid FOID card we recommend that you apply for one as soon as possible. You will need a valid FOID to complete the training for the Illinois CCW permit.
You must have a valid FOID card to gain admittance to the gun range unless you are accompanied by a valid FOID card holder.
We encourage you to bring your own firearm however if you do not yet own a firearm, we can provide one for you to use during classroom exercises. Rental guns are available to use at the range.
